From 1965 to 1975, Phillip S. Callahan and his colleagues published 36 seminal research papers on the mechanism of primary olfaction in insects
It was shown that insects are not interested in healthy plants and gravitate to sick plants
Callahan discovered that insects “smell” pheromones electronically by tuning into their infrared emissions, paving the way for the concept of bioelectromagnetic communications in which molecules interact without touching.
It was also found that when plants lack nutrients and are in ill health they give off far infrared frequencies that insects receive like a radio signal telling them it’s lunch time… nature’s quality control.
