Gas and electricity ‘suppliers’ pay National Grid daily for the gas and electricity used

Gas and electricity companies are not distributors; they send out statements, not bills, but people assume they are bills. They work on a financial agreement that is a ‘contract’ which you never signed or agreed to. Energy companies accept liability for the costs of energy supplied to your address and must pay National Grid.
